This page contains frequently asked questions specific to MapQuest Find Me and the Sprint network. Answers to questions applicable to either network are found by clicking on the question. To see general FAQs or Nextel FAQs select the appropriate link above.
A. After downloading the application (described in the preceding FAQ), you will see the message:
"MapQuest Find Me has been placed in Applications". Press "Next" and select "Run". The application will then start.
When the Network Access screen appears, select "Always Allow". When asked to "Accept the Terms" select "Yes".
Then enter your 10 digit cell phone number. After you press "Save", the next screen will display your activation
code and a 4 digit PIN necessary to activating your account on www.mapquestfindme.com. (This data will be stored in the application on your handset under "Settings"
in MapQuest Find Me for your convenience.) Before the application becomes fully active, you will be asked to allow GPS Access.

A. After the phone is switched on, cursor to the "Applications" icon and select it. Then select MapQuest Find Me.

A. For incoming calls, the application will be halted while you converse.
Once you hang-up, you will be requested to "Resume the Application".
For outgoing calls, you must stop the application (press the hang-up button twice), make your call and then start MapQuest Find Me again by returning to the Downloads, Application menu and selecting MapQuest Find Me.
A. To receive and record a GPS location, the handset requires an unhindered view of the sky and a strong Sprint signal. The frequency of GPS requests for position is controlled by selecting the 'Settings' icon on the main screen of the application on the handset. GPS frequency can be set for every 2, 5, 15 or 60 minutes.
